Sunday's Card-of-the-Day

Susan's Eight of Swords
Daniel's Two of Wands
Susan told me that she started watching Alice in Wonderland and was enchanted by it. It's odd; we tried to watch that movie a year or so ago, and couldn't. But now....
Susan has named all the fairies now. There's Esmeralda, or Esme for short. There's Allison and Lisa, and finally Abigail, or Abby.

Saturday's Card-of-the-Day

Susan's King of Wands
Daniel's Two of Wands
Kim called Thursday, saying that Mother was in the hospital with bowel obstruction. She has a tube down her throat and is unable to talk. She called Friday and said that Mother had surgery, taking out some colon and small intestine.

Thursday's Card-of-the-Day

Susan's The Tower
Daniel's Seven of Wands
Yesterday morning Susan was telling me that when Scott interviewed her for a PDP evaluation he mentioned that she was a Permanent State Employee. Joy remarked yesterday that "the whole program is the chopping block." Susan pointed out to me this morning, that she's been there almost a year and that she has RIF-rights. There is some kind of big meeting today.

Tuesday's Card-of-the-Day

Susan's Eight of Swords
She has to go to training today & tomorrow out at the CSO in Millwood.
Daniel's Ace of Cups
We didn't win the lotto last night. I'm hoping that this card--abundance and happiness--indicates that we will win, finally.

Monday's Card-of-the-Day

Susan's Judgement
Daniel's Knight of Swords
Susan and Bentley talked this weekend about travel. He is thinking about coming up here for a few days and then flying off to Bangkok for a month. Apparently, Friday was his last day of work. And we are going to go down to Tampa in January and stay with him. We figure that the judgement indicates an end and a new beginning. The knight is Bentley: a man of action, one who gets things done. We are amazed at the web of connections: Bentley's friend Yoshi lived in the apartment next to ours, Bentley got stuck in the snow in 2009 right near our apartment on 6th, which is right near Lorrie's Fifth Avenue salon, and our Tree House apartment is right across the street from David's where I lived and met Susan 18 years ago, and Bentley had his apartment on 10th just west of Huckleberry's. It would be so right if we won the lotto tonight, and especially Tuesday.
